David Harpe is a Denver-based fine art photographer. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Mr. Harpe relocated to Colorado two years ago and fell in love with the natural wonders prevalent in the state. Much of his new landscape work comes from inspiration found in the Colorado scenery.
As both a successful artist and an engineer, David's work features extraordinary technical precision with an amazing visual aesthetic. His abstract work has been featured in solo exhibitions and has found a home in several private collections. Mr. Harpe specializes in alternative process work including ultra-high-resolution photo montages, long exposures, multiple exposures, specialized lenses, and other technically challenging processes. In some compositions the process is highly visible - such as the 180 degree fisheye images. In others, the process disappears completely, leaving only the image visible.
Mr. Harpe also does significant work in the video world. With over twenty video compositions featured on Youtube, David has accumulated several hundred thousand views and numerous comments from around the world. The compositions range from extremely literal documentation of events to abstract, etheral timelapses of the natural beauty of Colorado.
